Programs and Further Training
Language and IT Skills for Work – German B1 and the Digital Workplace
This AVGS program combines language training up to level B1, basic digital skills, and individual coaching—with the clear goal of integration into employment or vocational training.
Participation is funded by the Employment Agency or the Job Center via an AVGS (Activation and Placement Voucher) and is free of charge for participants.
Basic Pedagogical Qualification
With the basic pedagogical qualification, you acquire the essential foundations to enter the profession as a pedagogical support worker, with the clear goal of integration into work in a daycare center (Kita) in Rhineland-Palatinate.
This qualification, in accordance with the framework agreement for staff in daycare centers for children in Rhineland-Palatinate, is aimed at people who have completed vocational training and who work or wish to work as a “profile-complementing professional” in a childcare facility.*
The program provides fundamental pedagogical knowledge specifically tailored to early childhood education and care.
This program can also be funded via AVGS.
Participation is also possible as a self-paying participant.
The basic pedagogical qualification may only be completed by individuals whose qualifications are already approved under the Professional Staff Agreement (Fachkräftevereinbarung). This means it applies to defined professional groups who have so far had little experience in early childhood education and for whom the qualification serves as a prerequisite for working in a daycare center.
These include:
-
Graduates in religious education, special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and comparable degrees
-
Graduates of pedagogical university programs and comparable qualifications
-
Graduates of relevant psychology degree programs at universities and comparable qualifications
-
Teachers of all school types after successfully completing the first state examination
-
Paediatric and general pediatric nurses
-
Graduates of vocational or technical schools in religious education, special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and comparable qualifications
An exception applies to profile-complementing professionals who:
-
can present approval from the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Assistance (Landesamt für Soziales, Jugend und Versorgung) confirming that they meet the requirements as a profile-complementing professional,
or -
are already employed in a daycare center, provided that the person is not a substitute or housekeeping staff member.
