Skilled Immigration Act

Skilled workers welcome –

with Germany’s modern immigration law!

Skilled workers from all over the world make an important contribution to the German economy and society.
With the Skilled Immigration Act, Germany, as a modern immigration country, now also has one of the most modern immigration laws in Europe.

There are many opportunities for qualified workers from non-EU countries to come to Germany for employment.

Germany offers a wide range of opportunities for interested skilled workers—especially in fields such as the IT sector, healthcare, and skilled trades—to build a good life.

In many cases, the visa application process has also been simplified.

Through the Foreign Portal, skilled workers can easily apply for their visa for Germany online.

You can find an overview of the different options on the website.

Foreign skilled workers must have their professional qualifications recognized in Germany before

applying for a visa.
